Leanna Clark, Co-Owner and Principal

How do you like to serve your community and how have you been recognized as a leader in the PR industry?
I serve on several community boards and committees, but my overwhelming passion is education. I truly believe that, as H.G. Wells said, "Human history becomes more and more a race between education and catastrophe." This is why I'm committed to national organizations, such as the Public Education and Business Coalition and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper's Leadership Team for Early Childhood Education. My leadership is also being tapped as I help the community prepare as host city of the Democratic National Convention.

What's one thing would you want someone to know about Schenkein?
We have the most talented staff around - they know how to think strategically and execute effectively, and they're committed to doing great work for our clients.

What would you like to be remembered for?
First and foremost, as a good mom. Also as a successful businesswoman who helped create an agency culture where staff could learn and grow, where we do great work for our clients and understand the importance of giving back.

More about Leanna...
Cutting my teeth as a broadcast journalist - first in radio, then in television - was great training for what I do now - helping clients craft messages that will resonate with the media. From journalism, I found my permanent home in PR, where I've been able to couple my love for client work with the dream of owning and running my own small business.
